"True grace not only forgives sins, but also brings about the renewal of the soul; grace will inevitably produce the effect of sanctification in the lives of believers; grace is not an excuse for people to sin, but it enables people to escape from sin and live a holy life."
— Jonathan Edwards

📖 Scripture Reference

Romans 6:1-2 What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin that grace may abound? God forbid! We who died to sin, how shall we live any longer in it?

💭 Reflection

True grace not only forgives my past sins but also continually renews my heart, freeing me from slavery to sin. If I continue to be comfortable in sin, that is a manifestation of false grace. God's grace is powerful, enabling me to die to sin and live to God, bearing the fruit of holiness. May I not abuse grace as an excuse for sin, but rely on it to escape sin and walk in holiness.

🙏 Prayer

Dear Lord, thank you for your precious grace, for forgiving my transgressions and renewing my heart. Help me to no longer cling to the fleeting pleasures of sin, but to constantly rely on your grace to overcome temptation. Lord, may I bear the fruit of sanctification in my daily life, living a holy life that pleases you. May all my words and actions reflect your glory. Amen.
