John 16:22 You are sorrowful now, but I will see you again, and your hearts will rejoice, and your joy no one will take away from you.
The joy of the world is like quicksand, fading with changing circumstances, but the joy God gives is rooted in Himself. Even in the midst of sorrow and suffering, I possess eternal comfort because of my union with Christ. The Lord's promise is true: when He returns, every tear will be wiped away, and joy will fill the heart. This joy lies not in the prosperity of this world, but in God's unchanging presence.
Dear Lord Jesus, thank you for the joy that no one can take away. Help me to remain independent of favorable or unfavorable circumstances and to always keep my eyes fixed on your eternal promises. Even in times of sorrow and hardship, may I be strengthened by your presence and given hope by your resurrection. May my life always be fulfilled in you, a testimony of joy in you. In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, I pray. Amen.
