2 Corinthians 3:18 NIV 18 But we all, with unveiled face, beholding the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from one degree of glory to another, just as by the Lord, who is the Spirit.
God's glory is the ultimate purpose of His creation. His glory is not added to me, but manifested in me. Faith, it turns out, isn't about me striving to give something to God, but rather about me being drawn and shaped by His glory. As I gaze upon Christ, I am gradually transformed by the Holy Spirit's work, becoming more and more like Him. If my life can even reflect a little of His beauty, it is a response to His glory.
Glorious Lord, thank you for allowing me to behold your glory. Please remove the veil from my heart so that I can gaze solely upon you. Pray that the Holy Spirit will work within me, continually transforming me from glory to glory, becoming more and more like Christ. May my life be a testimony to your glory. Amen.
