Ephesians 4:32 “And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, just as God in Christ forgave you.”
Marriage is not a perfect haven, but a school for the cultivation of love. Amidst conflict and friction, we learn forgiveness and mercy, imitating Christ's forgiveness. Every reconciliation is a spiritual exercise and a deeper union between husband and wife. True love is not about avoiding hurt, but about choosing to support each other even after hurt.
Lord, thank you for the opportunity to learn forgiveness in marriage. Help me to be compassionate in times of conflict, learning to forgive my partner as you forgive us in Christ. May our marriage be a testimony to your grace, demonstrating your love and mercy through reconciliation after arguments and hurts.
