Proverbs 3:5-6 Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; submit to him in all your ways, and he will make your paths straight.
As I took my first step in connecting with the mission today, I was reminded once again that God calls me not by circumstances, but by obedience of faith. Many times I try to control things, planning, calculating, and worrying, but Proverbs tells me that the true path begins with trust. When I entrust my wisdom, concerns, and unknowns to the Lord, He guides my steps in His own way. My responsibility is simply to "acknowledge Him," not to "see all the consequences." Today's first step is not based on courage, but on faith.
Lord, thank you for the new grace you have given me today. As I take my first step in connecting with the mission, I ask that you be my strength and guide. Let me not rely on my own judgment, but recognize you in every detail. Prepare the way, open the doors I should take, and close the doors that are not yours. May all my actions be motivated by love for you and aimed at glorifying you. Lord, I completely entrust my steps today into your hands; make my path upright and my heart steadfast. In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
