John 6:35 Jesus said to them, ‘I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never go hungry, and whoever believes in me will never be thirsty.’
Jesus called himself "the bread of life," reminding me that what truly satisfies the deepest thirst of the heart is not success, money, relationships, or achievements, but Himself. I am often busy pursuing external provision, neglecting the deepest needs of the spirit. The Lord doesn't give me bread, but He Himself is bread; He doesn't give me water, but He becomes my living water. Coming to Him is not just about receiving comfort, but about receiving life. May I learn to find contentment in Him daily, no longer filling the emptiness with worldly things.
Lord Jesus, thank you for being the bread of life, satisfying my thirsting spirit. I confess that I often seek worldly things, trying to be satisfied by my own strength, neglecting that You are my true source. Draw me deeper into Your presence, making You my life and joy daily. Renew my heart, making me thirst for You above all else, and granting me true satisfaction and strength in You. In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
