Ephesians 5:14–16 Wake up, you sleeper! And Christ will shine on you when you have risen from the dead. So be careful to walk as wise, not as fools, making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil.
Time never changes me automatically. In the past year, I had hoped that my spiritual state would naturally improve with the passage of time, but reality only made me see my weaknesses more clearly. True renewal is not about time, but about whether one is willing to return to God and surrender numbness, weariness, and struggle into His hands. Only when I actively draw near to Him does time become a blessing, rather than an empty passing of time.
Lord, as we enter December, awaken my slumbering heart, so that I may no longer expect time to change me, but instead look forward to meeting you. Draw me to you daily, and let my heart be renewed through your word and presence. Lord, I offer my life anew; make each day a vessel of grace, fulfilling your will for me. Amen.
