Romans 1:20 For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse.
The universe itself is a silent book of revelation. From the orbits of the vast cosmos to the intricate veins of a single leaf, every detail of nature contains an order and wisdom that transcends human reason. This is God's clearly known eternal power and divinity. We often become numb in our busy secular lives, blind to the sacred miracles around us. In truth, truth and divinity are not far away; they are inscribed in all of creation. When we are willing to quiet our minds and observe the world with reverence and reason, we can pierce through the fog before our eyes and see the loving hand that sustains the universe.
God, Creator of heaven and earth: Thank you for giving us such a wondrous and orderly world. Open our eyes so that we may recognize your great works and divinity in every aspect of your creation; also guard our hearts, so that we may remain humble before the strict laws of nature, and not become arrogant because of momentary knowledge or achievements. Dispel the blindness and apathy in our hearts, so that when facing life's challenges and unknowns, we may solely rely on your unwavering grace and guidance. May our lives, like all things in the heavens, silently manifest your glory and love. Amen.
