Ephesians 5:11 Do not walk with others in the fruitless things of darkness, but rather expose them;
Lewis reminds us that the path to depravity is often not a sudden darkness, but a slow process of complacency and compromise. Today it's "not important," tomorrow it's "no big deal," and the heart gradually drifts away from the light. Ephesians 5:11 says, "Do not participate in darkness, but expose it." Christians do not live by feelings, trends, or groups, but by truth and light. The real danger is not great sin, but the gradual numbness and loss of vigilance. May I be watchful and set apart, not a follower of the crowd, but one who stands in the Lord.
Lord, protect me, lest my heart unknowingly stray from You. Help me to see the dangers in small compromises and complacency, so that I may not drift with the tide, but live in Your light. Grant me clear eyes, a steadfast heart, and a spirit that loves the truth, so that I may not fear the darkness, but dare to stand for the light. May You renew me daily, leading me on the right path, glorifying Your name. In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
