"Overcoming painful experiences is like walking on a horizontal bar: you have to let go at some point in order to move forward."
— C.S. Lewis

📖 Scripture Reference

Philippians 3:13–14 Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.

💭 Reflection

Paul reminds us that spiritual life is not about looking back, but about continuously moving forward toward God's calling. Past weaknesses, failures, setbacks, and even the stagnation of small groups cannot define the future. God calls us into a deeper path of obedience and renewal. Only when I let go of my own plans and fears can I clearly see the new direction God is opening up. Today, I am willing to learn not to be bound by the past, but to continue moving forward with hope and faith toward the goal set by Christ.

🙏 Prayer

Lord, thank you for calling me to run forward through you. Help me to lay down the burdens of the past, not to despair because of weakness, nor to stop because of failure. May you renew my heart so that I may see the new path you have prepared for me and for our small group. Lord, let me rely on you and follow you more each day, so that I may run straight toward your will, not straying to the left or right. May you personally lead our small group, rekindling it in your grace, and walking in your calling. In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
