Jeremiah 29:13 “You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.”
Knowing God is never about accumulating external time, but about a genuine inner turning. Many times, I spend time reading the Bible and praying, yet I find little spiritual renewal because my heart is still occupied by other things. God doesn't want busy piety, but focused seeking. Without turning away from the idols in my heart, my spirit cannot find true intimacy. May I surrender my heart to God each day, letting Him be my sole center.
Dear Heavenly Father, I desire to seek You, but I confess that my heart is often fickle, drawn by many things. I ask that You enlighten me, that I may see the idols in my heart, and give me the courage to let them go. Let me not only spend time drawing near to You, but seek You with my whole heart. Lord, let my heart turn solely to You, so that I may truly know You, experience You, and enjoy the sweetness of Your presence. In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
