Joshua 5:13-14 When Joshua approached Jericho, he looked up and saw a man standing opposite him with a drawn sword in his hand. Joshua went to him and asked, “Are you helping us or helping our enemies?” The man answered him, “Neither. I have come to be commander of the Lord’s army.” Joshua then fell facedown to the ground and worshiped, saying, “What does my lord say to his servant?”
At the start of a project, we often pray to God to "help set things right" or "stand on my side" to secure the order. But the answer from Jehovah's army commander was deafening: He didn't come to join our ranks, but to be our commander. This reminded me that the key to success in business lies not in mobilizing God to fulfill my plans, but in placing my business, team, and goals entirely under God's truth. Instead of worrying about whether the environment is favorable, I should reflect on myself: Is my business conducted with integrity? Does my service bring edification? When I choose to stand on God's side, I am already standing beside a commander who has the upper hand.
Dear Heavenly Father, thank You for the peace You gave me before the start of work in March. Lord, facing the busyness and challenges ahead, I ask not only for Your protection but also for Your rule. May You reign supreme in my heart and be the commander-in-chief of my endeavors. Guide me, so that in every decision and every transaction, I may not seek personal gain but stand on the side of Your righteousness and truth. When faced with temptation or difficulty, grant me fearless courage, so that I may firmly believe that as long as I am in Your will, nothing can hinder the flow of Your grace. I pray this in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen!
