Psalm 37:5 Commit your way to the LORD; trust in him, and he will act.
In leading my brothers and fulfilling my responsibilities as a group leader, I often feel overwhelmed, worried that my exhortation and care are insufficient. However, Luther reminds me that I only need to fulfill my responsibilities and leave them in God's hands; the results don't have to be entirely my responsibility. As the Psalm says, "Commit your way to the Lord; trust in him, and he will bring it to pass." God's promise remains unchanged; he will take control after I have done my best. I can confidently fulfill my responsibilities while trusting in God's wisdom and provision.
Lord, thank you for giving me the responsibility to lead my brothers and for reminding me when I am weak. Help me to fulfill my responsibilities while completely entrusting my brothers' lives and my efforts to you. Grant me the patience and love to counsel my brothers with gentleness and wisdom, without anxiety about the outcome. Please perfect my path, provide for all my needs, and work in the hearts of my brothers so that we can all grow in your will and bring glory to your name. Amen.
