Colossians 3:13 Bear with one another and forgive one another if anyone has a complaint against another. Just as the Lord has forgiven you, so you also must forgive.
Tonight, I deeply realized that as members of the body of Christ, we must both submit to the authority of the church and lovingly accompany our wounded brothers and sisters. Forgiveness is not about ignoring mistakes, but about acknowledging the greatness of God's grace in us, choosing to let go of resentment, and entrusting our relationships to God. As C.S. Lewis said, "To be a Christian means to forgive the unforgivable, because God has already forgiven the unforgivable in you."
Dear Heavenly Father, thank you for your forgiveness and mercy, allowing us to love one another even amidst turmoil and pain. Please help us forgive the sins of our church and our brothers and sisters, and lovingly stand with those who are hurting. May your peace fill us, allowing our small groups to maintain unity in obedience and demonstrate your love in caring. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
