Proverbs 3:5-6 Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.
In a chaotic world, it's easy to be overwhelmed by news, difficult situations, or our own emotions. But when we turn our eyes to God, our hearts are revitalized. The world brings anxiety, self-reflection brings powerlessness, but only looking to God brings peace. God doesn't ask us to escape reality, but rather invites us to see anew the meaning and order of reality in His presence.
Lord, when I'm distracted by the noise of the world and overwhelmed by my own weaknesses, please refocus my attention on you. Let me find rest in you, free from the constraints of fear and worry. May your peace guard my heart and mind, allowing me to trust in you, rely on you, and rest in you in every turbulent moment. Amen.
