Philippians 3:20 But our citizenship is in heaven, from which we eagerly await a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ.
The joys of this world are always fleeting, yet they leave a faint longing in our hearts. It's not nostalgia for the past, but a call to heaven. Every moment of joy we experience in work, nature, or worship is God's gentle reminder that our true home is not on earth, but in His presence.
Dear Heavenly Father, thank you for the fleeting yet real joys you bestow upon us in our daily lives, reminding us to long for the eternal kingdom. May I not be bound by the pleasures of this world, but learn to look to you in every moment of grace. Lord, may my heart find rest in waiting and everlasting joy in hope, until we meet you face to face one day. Amen.
