"Don't worry about having a lot of things to do ahead of you; just focus on the 'next thing'."
— Elliott

📖 Scripture Reference

Matthew 6:34 Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.

💭 Reflection

We are often overwhelmed by the grand illusions of the "future," neglecting the fact that the "now" is the only moment God has given us to exercise our sovereignty. As T.S. Eliot said, God doesn't ask us to move an entire mountain at once; He only asks us to bend down and pick up a stone at our feet. When we shift our attention from "difficulties that haven't happened yet" to "the work we are doing," anxiety loses its nourishment. Every drop of water used to water plants, every heartfelt conversation, is a practice of surrendering to the Lord's faithfulness. Today, lay down the burdens of tomorrow and focus on that most concrete, smallest "next thing" between breaths, for there lies the peace of God's presence.

🙏 Prayer

Dear Heavenly Father, thank You for comforting my heart with Your word amidst the busyness of March. Lord, facing the multiple challenges of work, study, and life, I confess that I often fall into anxiety, trying to control the unknown tomorrow with my limited mind. Please forgive my lack of faith and strengthen my inner self. At this moment, I entrust all my burdens to You, praying that You grant me a clear mind and nimble hands, so that I may not see the distant, hazy clouds, but only the path I should walk. Lord, please keep me in every little thing with piety, and let me experience the wonderful grace of "each day has enough trouble of its own" in my labor. May Your peace reign in my heart. In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
