"God does ten thousand things in your life, but you may only see three."
— John Piper

📖 Scripture Reference

Romans 8:28 And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.

💭 Reflection

I often only see the immediate changes in numbers, the tensions in relationships, and the pressures of reality, neglecting God's work in the deeper realms. Romans 8:28 reminds me that "all things" are not just favorable circumstances, but also misunderstandings, conflicts, and reductions. God doesn't wait for things to stabilize before taking control; He operates even in chaos. If I judge based solely on what I see, I become anxious; if I stand in faith, I find peace. Perhaps God is filtering motives, refining pride, and shaping patience. I need to learn to trust, rather than rushing to control.

🙏 Prayer

Lord, you know the anxieties and worries in my heart. When the number of people is small, I easily become doubtful; when relationships are tense, I easily become defensive. But you say that all things work together for good. Grant me faith, that I may see you working where I cannot see. If I am proud, cleanse me; if I am afraid, strengthen me. Teach me not to make decisions based on feelings, but to stand by your promises. May what I hold onto be not pride, but faithfulness. In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
