Deuteronomy 6:6-7 These commands I give you today shall be on your hearts; you shall diligently teach them to your children. Whether you sit at home or walk by the road, whether you lie down or get up, you shall talk about them.
God's word shouldn't remain merely knowledge; it must enter our hearts and become a part of our lives. Often, I treat Bible reading as a chore, neglecting the requirement of "keeping it in my heart," and even less consciously influencing those around me, especially my family. This verse reminds me that faith isn't a hidden personal experience, but something to be lived out in daily life and naturally passed on to the next generation. If I myself don't truly live out God's word, I cannot truly teach others. Today, I need to readjust my priorities, making God's word the center of my life, not its periphery.
Lord, Your word is the foundation of my life, yet I often merely hear it without truly internalizing it. Grant me a tender heart, that I may not only read Your word, but also be renewed and transformed by it. Help me to contemplate Your word in my daily life, making it a guide for my actions and decisions. Also, grant me the burden and wisdom to live out true faith in my family, not through forced teaching, but by influencing lives with my own. May Your word take root, grow, and bear true fruit within me. Amen.
