Romans 8:29 For he also predestined those whom he foreknew to be conformed to the likeness of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brothers.
We often struggle between "accepting ourselves" and "pursuing excellence," but the deepest wisdom tells us that true love is accepting a person as they are, yet not wanting them to stop there. Just as a seed is accepted by the soil not so that it will remain a seed forever, but so that it can sprout and grow into a great tree, every success and breakthrough in life is an upward pull. We are given a higher blueprint for life, not just for survival, but also to align ourselves with a more compassionate, wiser, and more responsible ideal personality in every decision and every relationship.
O Source of all things, Loving Lord, thank You for Your unconditional acceptance of every life. Grant us inner peace, so that even amidst our busy schedules and complexities, we may still feel Your gentle guidance. Light the lamp within our hearts, so that we may not be content with our current narrow-mindedness and weakness, but rather be willing to continuously transform through trials, living a life as resilient and glorious as the "firstborn son." May our steps be steady, may our hearts be pure, and may every moment of tomorrow reflect the wisdom and grace from You, becoming a blessing to others. Amen.
