Philippians 4:19 And my God will supply all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus.
Often, I focus more on whether resources are sufficient than on whether I'm following God's will. I tend to push things forward in my own way, relying on experience, ability, and plans, neglecting to first seek God's guidance. Hudson Taylor reminded me that the real key is not "how much" is done, but "whether it's done in God's way." If we deviate from God's will, even if things go smoothly temporarily, it's difficult to sustain; only by returning to God and adjusting our motivations and paths can we still experience His true provision and presence even in times of scarcity.
Lord, illuminate my true motives, so that I may not be acting to fulfill my own plans, but rather willingly submit to Your guidance. Teach me to let go of my anxiety about resources, to stop relying on my own intelligence and abilities, and instead learn to seek Your will at every step. If I stray, remind and guide me back. Grant me faith to persevere on Your path even in times of need, believing that You Yourself will provide for all my needs, so that my deeds may glorify Your name. Amen.
